The Zinn Residence is a ground-up build project. It represents our ability to work alongside the architects and contractors in creating truly custom homes for our clients. Here we helped adjust the floor plans for the home even before the foundation was poured. Our design perspective and input at this early stage helped ensure that each room would function the best for our clients. As the project developed, we specified the flooring, tiles, granite, marble, plumbing fixtures, hardware and color palate. We also custom made the stair rails, lighting, vanity cabinets, furniture, window treatments and pillows throughout the home.
The Fleming Residence is an example of an extensive remodel project. Here we have remodeled the kitchen and all three bathrooms (two of which are shown in the portfolio, and one which is shown in my blog:
http://aliciafriedmann.wordpress.com/2010/01/26/01-09/). Much like in the ground-up build, we began by creating the new floor plan for each room in AutoCAD. We facilitated the construction phase by working hand-in-hand with the contractors. We specified the tile, specific to the exact layouts. In the kitchen, we even created the custom marble mosaic above the range. We also picked out the plumbing fixtures, color palates, tiles, and stones. We custom made the vanity cabinets, medicine cabinets, and window treatments.
The Mascio Residence is another home in which we did extensive interior design. It represents the homes where we do not move a single wall, but we change the entire feel of the home. We did so by creating an entirely new color palate by painting and wallpapering the walls. We also made custom furniture, such as the chairs and sofa in the living room and bed, bench, nightstands and dresser in the master bedroom. We placed the accessories and wall décor throughout the home to further give the space the updated, fresh feel the home and the family which lives there deserved.
